Configuration

Made an Impact is browser-based so can be accessed anywhere. Access to the system is limited to authorised users. After signing in with a password, further security questions can be set up to ensure that users are authenticated.

Various roles are available for each user of the system. Managers have access to all data, staff can be restricted to just accessing the contacts they are assigned, and volunteers can only do data entry.

Most aspects of the system are configurable, eg the list of services available, the referral and assessment forms. Many other options can be specified, eg the list of local GPs or the types of issue that can be used. Configuring the system is best done initially by the Made an Impact team after consulting with you on your needs.

If there's anything missing from Made an Impact, don't be afraid to ask for a new feature – we will do our best to oblige.

Confidentiality is usually going to be key when handling your contact data. The data is handled securely – and backed up regularly. We will work with you to ensure that you comply with Data Protection requirements. Made an Impact staff are usually available day and evening and at weekends to provide support.
